AECOM Vice President of Global Surface Transportation and Mobility Innovation Lead Amy Ford brings experience in the public and private sector and associations meant to bridge the gap between them. Ford’s work covers professional services ranging from project planning and design to engineering and construction. Her sector focuses on the integration of transportation and technology, with projects including automated and connected vehicles, ITS technology, electrification, advanced air mobility, and decarbonization.
Ford was previously Vice President of Public Policy and Mobility on Demand at ITS America, providing policy analysis for transportation technologies sector wide, and the head of strategic direction and activities at the Mobility on Demand Alliance. Ford brought six years of public sector experience with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), including four years as Chief of Advanced Mobility. She chaired the state’s Autonomous Mobility Task Force. Ford began her career trajectory as owner of her own communications firm before working as Director of Communications at CDOT.
